Passive and Active Switching Vibration Control with Pendulum Mass Damper

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new switching vibration control method; switching between passive and active. The vibration control device is pendulum type mass damper, which works as passive and active mass damper. Experimental results show that the proposed switching control has better performance than full time passive mass damper and active mass damper.
