Abstract
Power electronic systems become nonlinear hybrid systems due to the marvelous switching functions of power semiconductor devices, which makes it difficult to analyze and design the systems in systematic and unified ways. This paper surveys the problems in analysis and design of power electronic systems, focusing on how to treat the hybrid features. The computer-based analysis and design methods are also discussed.
