Abstract
Rendering realistic motion of water is one of the method which immerses a player into an interactive application such as computer games. Fluid simulation based on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is useful for rendering the realistic motion of water. However, real-time rendering of water was difficult because the computational cost of CFD is high. The authors show how to implement Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) on a programmable graphics processor, which grows fast recently, for fluid simulation.
