A problem of designing cursive characters is considered. Based on the generation method of "dynamic font", a novel redesigning scheme is developed by employing a dynamic model of robotic arm as the generation mechanism of new characters. This scheme is used to transform the typeface of predesigned Japanese characters to the omitted running style. A design example is included.
