Abstract

We recently focus on a new integrated drive generator (IDG) in aircraft, which has a generator of 90kVA, 400Hz and an economical traction drive-type continuously variable transmission (CVT) as a constant speed-drive unit. The frequency needs to control a hydraulic system by some micrometer strokes. The purpose of this study is to make a contribution to achieve high reliability by using a minimal observer without stroke sensors.
