Controller reduction by the block balanced realization using riccati equations

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new controller reduction method whichconsiders preseving the closed-loop system H_inf-norm property.In the method, the block balanced realization is employed to take account the closed-loop configuration.Unlike original method, we use riccati equations to consider preservingthe closed-loop system H_inf-norm property.Numerical example is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of our method.
