Abstract
A micro flapping mechanism for rescue purpose is reported. It employs a conducting polymer artificial muscle actuator which operates in response to a low input voltage and generates large force with high power weight ratio. The wing structure is made of styrofoam and is attached to the distal end of resonating bimorph cantilever actuator. In the experiment, we confirmed a significant amount of lift force.
