Network Intrusion Detection Design with Probabilistic Classification Based on Genetic Network Programming

Abstract

In this paper, a probabilistic classification approach is proposed in order to increase the accuracy in IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems). The proposed approach can distinguish network connections as normal, misuse or anomaly and experiment results demonstrate that it is capable of achieving high classification accuracy.
