Abstract
This article describes how online education in the Department of Childhood Education, Shokei University Junior College, was accomplished. The online education system was constructed and started to operate to meet the challenges of the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan, that has continued from the beginning of 2020. All faculty members in the department made preparations for lectures giving due consideration to the students' level of understanding and used the same LMS (Google Classroom). The system allowed students to realize the effects of their learning.
