In fiscal 2009,a feasibility study was conducted in Iida City,Nagano Prefecture,for a small hydropower generation project in the City.The study concluded that,while there exist various issues concerning the maintenance of settlements,an abundance of renewable energy resources lies unexploited in the surrounding hilly and mountainous regions.Based on these results,Iida City has started a demonstration of small hydropower generation project with a view toward offering solutions to issues facing the area.In this research,Iida City’s small hydropower generation project was analyzed through multifaceted approaches by way of P2M (Project & Program Management) profiling management.It is hoped that the findings of this research will offer suggestions for an initiative to create common value among local governments and communities with renewable energy projects at the core.
