Abstract

The decline in physical strength is young people is seen as a problem, and obesity from irregular lifestyles is thought to be one factor in this decline in physical strength. Serious problems arise in the risk from physical ability elements due to obesity factors. We investigated the major problems of obesity factors by analyzing the risk of obesity from dealing with people with severe obesity of BMI of 30 or higher. In this study various physical strength data were collected for healthy students from one university, and evaluation charts with a span covering years for each parameter were constructed. Severely obese people with BMI of ≥30 were applied to each evaluation chart, and a risk analysis was performed for physical ability elements of severely obese young people from annual trends in severe obesity. From the results it was determined that there was a declining trend in nearly all motor ability element parameters. The health parameter of blood pressure tended to be slightly high, at 130 mmHg or more. Therefore, it was shown that a major risk related to physical ability elements exists in severely obese young people.
