Reducing a Four-Variable Hybrid PDE Model of Prostate Cancer to a Hybrid ODE Model

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new mathematical model of ordinary differential equations using four variables in an attempt to reproduce the growth of prostate cancer that shows a special phenomenon of antiandrogen withdrawal syndrome. In addition, we show that the model can be derived from a partial differential equation model of cell kinetics.
