This paper deals with the distribution pattern of the irruption holes of Cryphalus piceae in the fir tree. 1. The attacking center of the adult beetle gradually shifts from the upper slender part of the fir tree to the basal part and thus the density of the irruption holes is always higher on the slender part of the tree than on the base. 2. The regular distribution pattern was usually ascertained by MORISITA'S method on the distribution of the irruption holes. 3. It seems that the preferential action of the adult and also the coaction among them occur during in the developing process of the regular distribution pattern of the irruption holes of C. piceae.
