Standing crop and increment in bole were compared among three comparable stands, two of which (A and B) were within the same basin as the power plant and another (C) located outside of it. The differences in standing crop of bole and branch were very little among the plots, while leaf mass and production of cone as well as increment of bole were much larger in the plot C than the other plots. Among the trees of the same diameter, increment of bole of trees in the polt C was much larger than the trees in the other plots and trees in the plot Chad much more leaves than those in the other two plots, though among the trees with largest diameter the difference in leaf mass on trees was minimum. No difference was recognized in leaf mass between the trees of the plots A and B provided that diameter was the same. Both the values for the summer and for the winter, leaf mass of the plots A and B were outside the range of variation of the existing data while that of the plot C was within it.
