The field measurement results of a ventilation system with cool and heat pit for two years, and the case study results by simulation are described. The ventilation system was function at most time. However, when outdoor air temperature was around 24℃, useless operation of several hours was performed. The acquired quantity of heat from the cool and heat pit will be 6.2GJ(heating), 4.8GJ(cooling) in the 2003 fiscal year, and 7.2GJ(heating), 5.7GJ(cooling) in the 2004 fiscal year. The results of the simulation was corresponding to measurement results in general.
