Abstract
In this study, an equation for predicting formaldehyde emission rate in consideration of the background formaldehyde concentration using the test chamber method is proposed to establish a simple prediction method of formaldehyde concentration in indoor environment. Although the steady state concentration from the formaldehyde-emitting material can be expressed by using HBF (Hoetjer-Berge-Fujii) equation, the equation does not consider the background formaldehyde concentration. Thus we derived prediction equation of formaldehyde from HBF equation in consideration of the background formaldehyde concentration and verify the expressiono
