Abstract
In regards to a data center, since the effects of service stoppages on society are severe, it is important to maintain the thermal environment around devices mounted in server racks. This paper describes about airflow and thermal environment around a rack at a data center. We measured temperature, airflow rate, and flow direction under laboratory conditions. We evaluated the degree of influence of these factors on the intake temperature of devices mounted in a rack.
