Abstract
This paper presents results from an intercomparison of methods for estimating the sensitivity of energy consumption for air-conditioning and hot-water in residences and office buildings to the ambient temperature. Methods based on seasonal and diurnal variations of unit energy consumption, air-conditioning load simulations, seasonal variation of energy supply, heating and cooling degree-days and predicting feed-water temperature were compared and characterized.
