Abstract
For developing an autonomous housing system, it is essential to evaluate the performance of energy consuming appliances and resource recycling systems in a status where they are actually operated in the house. By using two mock-up units in a multi-family residential building, one with a conventional system and the other installed the systems with a higher energy saving capability, the authors conducted comparative study to verify the effectiveness of those energy saving techniques and systems. This paper presents outline of the experimental method for the validation and the experimental result for reduction of CO_2 emission.
