The DHC system in the block 3 in Nakanoshima was planned to utilize "unutilized energy ", such as thermal energy of river water. By using the river water, the DHC system makes it possible to improve of the efficiency of the heat pump and to ease the heat island phenomenon. This report outlines the evaluation of exhaust heat load reduction causing heat island using thermal energy of river water.
