Abstract
We are studying the influence of low relative humidity in humans. In our last paper, we investigated the permissible level of low relative humidity. In this paper, we investigated physiological and psychological responses for humans after bathing in different humidities and air velocities. For the purpose, we measured hydration state, transpepidermal water loss (TEWL), blood pressure, skin temperatures and rectal temperature as the physiological responses. We asked about thermal sensation, dryness sensation and air velocity sensation as subjective responses using the rating scales. Results showed that, the skin property after bathing was more strongly influenced by humidity than by air velocity.
