Abstract
Vernacular dwellings incorporate effective techniques to improve the quality of the indoor environment by making full use of natural power. It is therefore expected to utilize their design concepts in making modern environmentally symbiotic housings. Cave Houses in hot and dry area particularly in Turkey, are utilizing homoeothermic of soil effectively. In this paper, authors suggest that it is very important to unite environmental design which is excellent in the Vernacular dwellings with a present architecture by the result of the measurement in Cappadocia.
