Abstract
This study aimed at investigating particulate matter (PM) in office buildings and collection efficiency of ultra fine particles by air filter media. Particle matters (PM) in 15 off ce buildings were measured as mass concentration with a low-volume air sampler and a beta ray attenuation method, and as count concentration with a wide-range particle spectrometer (WPS). The correlation between the mass concentration of PM and PM2.5 and concentration calculated with WPS were investigated. The fine particles around 100nm diameter were not collected onto the air filter media, and the air from diffuser in the room could evacuate ultra fine particle instead of supplying the air through the air filter.
