A field survey was conducted in an office that was set to be conditioned at 28℃ in summer to investigate the actual condition of the office and the effect on productivity. Air temperature in the office was 28.0℃. From the results of questionnaire, 62% of the office workers claimed dissatisfaction of thermal environment. The relation to the total rate of subjective symptoms of fatigue was stronger with thermal satisfaction than with air temperature. Given the previously found relationship between fatigue and performance, the performance of workers in 28℃ office can be maintained by improving their thermal satisfaction with appropriate measures.
