Abstract
The side-blow air curtain, which is expected safer than revolving door for traffic people, is suggested. An experiment was held to examine thermal environment and air characteristic of the space imitated an entrance of architecture in winter. As the results, it is found the side-blow air curtain is fairly effective to shut off invasion of cold outdoor air, and keep thermal environment inside the room warm. Airflow around opening was visualized by thermal infrared camera and smoke machine.
