Abstract
In accordance with the advance of genetic engineering on plants, genetically modified plants attract a great deal of attention as the production system of pharmaceuticals, etc. For the scheduled production of these plants without being affected by climate conditions, a closed-type plant production system under controlled environments with artificial lamps is required. This paper discusses the performance evaluation results of the indoor air environment in the medium-scale closed-type cultivation room where test communities of rice plants containing valuable proteins, edible medicines or useful compounds could be grown.
