Abstract
We investigated residential energy consumption and indoor thermal conditions of housing in Cambodia. The methods of investigation are the location surveying and hearing. The thermal conditions in the houses are analyzed, and six types of houses are compared from a thermal point of view. During daytime, the room condition of the traditional house is due to radiation heat from the poor roof. In the concrete house, framing in the ceiling avoid rise in room temperature. Residential energy consumptions of three houses installed with an air conditioner are more than half of that in Japan.
