Abstract
Experiments on the room air temperature with thermal comfort of elementary students were made for ten days in summer and winter of Sapporo and Kumamoto. Each student put the red or blue sticker on the individual "thermal diary" around lunch if he or she felt thermal discomfort; in summer case, red means too hot not to be well for study. Their cognitive temperature was also signed simultaneously on their diary. In summer both students tend to answer the red when their cognitive temperature was higher than the room air temperature. In addition, sweating is closely-linked to their thermal discomfort. In winter of Sapporo, the room air temperature is over 20℃, so their closing value is around 0.65 clo. It is quite opposite to be cold environment around 15℃ in Kumamoto without space heating, so that their clothing value is 0.9 clo .
