To assess the efficiency of displacement ventilation in minimizing contaminants’ spread in lecture halls, this study investigates the effect of source position on the contaminant concentration distribution. Mimicking an infected individual scenario, 10 single-source cases were simulated. The results demonstrated great variations between cases in terms of contaminant diffusion pattern and radius, number of affected occupants, and average inhaled-air quality.
