Abstract
Lead, zinc and silver melted in a tube together was thoroughly stirred by rotating furnace mechanism and after keeping sufficient time to get equilibrium at constant temperatures quenched in mercury, after solidification broken the tube, samples were taken from the each layers for the analyses of Ag, Pb and Zn. Found the partition coefficient and mutual solubility of zinc and lead in each layers. Also by means of thermal analyses studied a part of Ag-Zn-Pb system and discussed with respect to the Parkes process.
