Abstract
The physical testing of oil and gas well cores is becoming of considerable importance, particularly in the application of secondary methods of recovering of oil. Petrographic examination, screen analysis, porosity and permeability tests have been discussed in the light of recent developments.
The writer experimented of these properties about 16 samples which were collected from our oil fields.
The present paper covers only some results of research on these problems which has been conducted for the past one year. The petrographic determination of oil sands is not included in this paper.
