In this paper the authors reported the results of an experimental research on the ground vibrations caused by blasting operation.
The results obtained can be summarized as follows: The relationship between seismic ground amplitude and quantity of explosive fired can be shown by the simple power relationship as previously shown by some other investigators.
The ground amplitude does not seem to decrease linearly with the distance travelled, but at the stations nearer to shot point the relationship between the ground amplitude and the distance travelled seems to take more complicated form.
Within the scope of this experiment the amplitude seems to increase with the static and dynamic powers of explosives used.
