抄録

This report is chiefly written that the experimental results of usage of scrapers-method of wire rope straining, distribution of electric wires, structure of loaders, head sheeves and slushers, etc.- at Matsuo Mine, the largest sulphur and pyrite deposit in Japan.
Among many plans of mechanization that had been forced by lack of skilful mine-workers soon after World War I, the usage of scrapers is at the height of brilliant succers, and nowadays, more than 55 per cent ores are generally collected by the “Brade-shaped” machines. As a conclusion, writter emphasis following advantages about scrapers.
1) Half the mine-workers will suffice for the same amount of ores.
2) Will be able to cut down the expenses of prosperity by diminution of miners.
3) Fewer stopes will suffice for the estimated production of ores.
4) The machine is kept in working by one who is not in robust health.
5) Can maintain the same production of ores, in stead of unexpectedly numbers of absentees.
6) One can work the machine after one or two months' practice.
