The sand was brought from Hirose River and was used to make samples in this experiment. The samples of this sand, containing 32.5% of water, were made in cylindrical forms in the vessel, and cooled in the liquid N2 or in cryogens. Then their tensile and compressive strengths were examined.
As results, those strengths were increased as the decrease of the temperature.
