The wettability to water was observed on FeS2-minerals.(pyrite, marcasite and melnikovite) from various localities by the Mitsui and Sasaki's method. It was confirmed that thereexist rather variations in wettability among pyrite specimens.
The contact angle of them was also determined by the water drop method. Consideringthe relation between the contact angle and the wettability, it might be taken that the contactangle of pyrite lies in the range of 53° and 77°.
And the thermoelectric potential against copper of pyrite and marcasite was measured.As a result of it, it was recognized that the wettability and the absolute value of the thermoelectricpotential of pyrite have a positive correlation to each other.
