The fact that the characteristic of the separation by a shaking table (concentrating table) has not been explained analytically up to the present time, notwithstanding that the arrangement of the particles on the table can be definitely seen, is probably due to the complications involved in the motion of water on the table surface.
In this paper the writer gives an analytical solution of the motion of water on the table surface and explains mathematically the separation mechanism of a shaking table.
