In the previous paper, we reported that the roasted residues of antimonial ores from the Herrenschmidt Roaster, which contain gold and silver, were cyanidated successfully by the heat treatment with caustic soda solutions before cyanidation. In this paper, the effects of the concentration of KCN, CaO and Pb (CH3COO)2 and the pulp density on cyanidation are described. Besides, we practised. the industrial examination on a medium scale, too. Experimental results suggest that the roasted residues treated with caustic soda solutions are best cyanidated with the solution of 0.25-1%KCN by the addition of 1% CaO and 0.1% Pb (CH3000)2 for ore mass. That is, the extraction ratio of gold is about 96% and that of silver is 83-88%.
