Chacarilla鉱山の開発

The principal property of Copper Mines & Enterprises is situated in high plateau of Bolivia, known as the “Altiplano”, which has an elevation ranging from 3, 800m at Lake Poopo to 4, 500m at the topmost mine workings, 90km wide extending from the Argentine border on the south to Lake Titicaca on the north, lied between the Cordillera Occidental on the west and the Cordillera Real on the east.
The copper belt “Corocoro formation” runs parallel west side.
The deposit of Chacarilla mine is located roughly in the center of this metalliferous belt.
And was known one century before, for it's high grade copper ore. The principal mineral explored there is the native copper, and the mineralization is located in are shoots founding in this mine consists of three elements.
The general course is N40°W and worked only by hand, therefore the amount of picking result disturbed by inconvenient location and a continental climate.
We acquired the original option of the prospect 1959, and after investigation and prospecting our company bought this mine from the owner 1960.
Then we established in this desert, water supply, housing, electric plant repairing plant, dressing plant etc. first stage comepleted 1963.
As we confirmed excellent results in the deep parts by boring, so we are forming a plan to extend the scale of mining and development, at the second stage we have 13, 000T/M plant in contemptation afew years after.
And in spite of a change of government, we are striving to bring copper cocentrates for our country.
