The writers applied the mercury halo method to the prospecting of the Black Ore Deposits and had thegood results.
The writers studied the analytical method of marcury and succeeded in obtaining thesensibility of 50ppb by the special distillation method using a fairly simple apparatus.
By this method, numerous analysis were carried out on samples from many drilling cores, the mercury halo of more than 200ppb extend horizontally outside of 300 to 500 metres from Black Ore Deposit and vertically also it extend out for 200 to 300 meter over the orebody.
It is turned out that the background values of mercury in rocks in this district is less than 100ppb.
