抄録

Coefficient of friction between pipe wall and solid material when mixture of solid material and water flows through a pipe, was measured under the condition of hydraulic transporting solid material.
When frictional force (F=μsWt) occurs between particle group and pipe wall, reaction force (Ts) of the same magnitude with frictional force acts on the pipe.

The authors measured reaction force and calculated coefficient of friction (μs).
Results obtained are summarized as follows.
(1) According as mean velocity of mixture increases, coefficient of friction decleases rapidly.
(2) Coefficient of friction (μs) was expressed as
