Abstract

Sample of alkyd resin was taken during its resinification, and from it, melamine-alkyd resin film was produced and reviewed in its viscoelastic property effect.
From logarithmic decrement, an effect of the molecular weight increment revealed with lapse of reaction time, transition temperature shifted to high temperature side, and maximum of logarithmic decrement became high. By decrement in residual active group, bonding effect to melamine resin became small. This trend was also seen in coefficient of viscosity.
From shear modulus, the authors recognized that the cross linking effect of melamine-alkyd revealed at high temperature elastic part and that the cross linking degree became large as the reaction time is shorter.
