We experienced a case of multiple injuries in an illegal alien, in which particular considerations for treatment were needed. The patient was a 24-year-old Japanese-Brazilian man. He received multiple injuries in a motor vehicle accident, including lacerations to the face and the oral cavity, multiple maxillofacial fractures, fractures in the pelvis, and fractures within the left knee joint. Treatment was very difficult, firstly because of language problems and mainly because he was an illegal alien. Problems in the treatment of illegal aliens are discussed.
