This study deals with contouring control system of machine tools, which uses electro-hydraulic pulse motors as its main part. First, the system's features are briefly given and the algebraic arithmetic type interpolator which is used in the system is described. Secondly, an analysis of the dynamic characteristics of thh electro-hydraulic pulse motor is given. Last, the error of the system connected to the machine tool is examined showing that the machining error will be greatly reduced by a proper use of the cutter's center path offset mechanism of the system.
