Abstract
The combination weigher is composed of plural scales, which is used for obtained the best combination of the objects in mass. The combination weigher chosen as the subject in the study has a hardware configuration with a control criterion concerning the combined-mass itself. It is shown through computer simulation that the criterion improves well the accuracy of the best combination. In addition the determination procedure of the quantity to be prefilled in the weigh hoppers is made clear. By examining the runs in the combination processes, it is also clarified that the criterion has a merit of shorting the duration of the objects staying in the weigh hoppers.
