Abstract
In order to develop an automatic testing equipment for cleaness and neatness defects, basic study has been done on the analysis of 2-directional data measured by laser sensors for measuring size in outside diameter and on the extraction of partial wave-forms corresponding to cleaness and neatness defects from the data. Mean value f(i) derived from the 2-directional data had an effect on extracting the wave-forms. Coefficient of variation on the data was able to be designed as a standard level to detect them.
