Abstract
The ariommatid, Ariomma brevimanum (Klunzinger, 1884), is recorded from Kashiwa-jima island and east of Cape Muroto, Kochi Prefecture, Japan, on the basis of a single specimen respectively. It represents the third record for the species from Shikoku. The two specimens are described and their photographs are provided. ontogenetic proportional and color changes are discussed. Examination of the two specimens revealed that irregular black blotches on the body disappeared with growth between 138.0 and 173.5mm standard length.
