From 2018 to 2022, the author conducted a survey to investigate the distribution of an exotic reptile, Gekko hokouensis, in Konan City and Geisei, Kochi Prefecture. G. hokouensis was found in a range of about 1.7 km wide on the coast and 1.9 km from shore. In the vicinity of those ranges, G. japonicus was found.
