On the new trend of tourism in Beppu Spa (Oita prefecture, Japan), the activity of ”Beppu-Eight-Spa Takegawara Club” is bringing a new phase into the old-fashioned area of Beppu-Eight-Spa, and promoting a further measure for the town planning. ”Takegawara Club” has become a basis of the new organizations and various events: e.g. the Spa-bathing Rally, the Alley Festival, etc. Not only the workers in the tourism industry but also the ones in other industries, local inhabitants, students, tourists etc. are gathering in these organizations, to enlarge their opportunity for exchange and communication. Takegawara Club is a group of volunteers. Its feature is that all the activities are done immediately after elaborating the plans and ideas, which are brought by the specialists of the tourism and by the non -professional members as well.
