In this talk I would like to review the recent development on time-dependent (dynamical) tachyon condensation in string theory. I describe how the open string modes living on the unstable brane cease to propagate as the tachyon condensation proceeds, supporting Sen's conjecture stating that the tachyon condensation is equivalent to the disappearance of the original branes.
