2-D Quantum Gravity from Matrix Models

The two matrix model with the various type of potential is investigated. Our method is to construct Douglas' Q and P operators from the matrix model by directly taking the continuum limit of the corresponding matrix operators. We show that the (4,5),(3,8),(5,6) and (3,5) minimal models are realized at the critical points.
